There's something in my closet...

And no, that's not my true orientation waiting to emerge, before you start in on me Boy Kim! Not that there's anything wrong with that...moving on before I end up eating toes.

No, it's actually something with four legs, a tail, teeth and the cats find it very scary.

Yep, it's the new dog.

She was in desperate need of a new home, or she was going off to the big backyard in the sky. Sucker that I am, we went and got her the same day. Once I stopped sobbing after reading the desperate email.

But isn't she adorable? Such a sweet little face. How could anyone not love her?

And tomorrow will be a day in the life of Stuart MacBride. Complete with pictures via spy satellite. You won't want to miss it!

OK, now I'm getting seriously freaked. Cute dog, but still: seriously freaked.

Dana, its bits of dental rope that have been chewed up, not anything else!

I should have mentioned that Stuart's little adventure will include appearances by the likes of John Rickards...

Gotta say my first thoughts were along similar lines to Dana's. Also gotta say I'm not convinced at all by your feeble explanation, Ms Blog-Hostess.

To me, they look like... well, let's not get into what they look like to me. Probably for the best.

She is beautiful! What's her name? And you ROCK for going to get her and giving her a home. Thank you!

M.G. quoted on R.J.'s site earlier ".....what a wonderful world". Me thinks you are one of the reasons why, Ms. Sandra.

Sandra Ruttan said...

Thanks Trace! We're calling her Koona. Keeping with the tradition of calling dogs after dogs from The Call of the Wild.

Erik, thank you. You are so kind! I'm blushing. And not because of the usual banter from Boy Kim, for a change!

So we've found a use for me at last, huh?

The studded dog collar might fit.

Boy Kim said...

I certainly hope so.

Ohhhhhh, please let it fit.

The acid test is does "Down Boy" work?

Boy Kim said...

Only one way to find out for sure so... see you in July.

Sandra Ruttan said...

Yeah, come have a drink with me and Rickards and Stuart at Harrogate. I think you and John have a lot of depravity in common. If you can have that in common. A common interest? Oh bloody hell, I can't even think straight this morning.

Cute dog, and I agree, it's a kind act to have given the poor creature a nice home.

A post about our favourite bearded Scot? *starts drooling*

My family motto - How much more can one more eat?

Mazoltov! She's gorgeous. Does she has a name?

Sandra Ruttan said...

Yup. KOONA. Because as a kid I had a thing about Jack London's The Call of the Wild, so Nootka and Koona are both named after dogs from the book.

But Chinook got to keep his name.

Is that because he has bad wind?

Nice dog, btw. But I don't think your kidding anyone with the old 'dental rope' story.

Sandra Ruttan said...

Hey, a chinook is good wind. Good. The thing that makes us zoom up to +25 in the middle of January.

I will post dental rope pictures AFTER Stuart's little adventure.

You people. Sheesh.

Congratulations on the new arrival!
She looks like a sweetie.

Sandra Ruttan said...

Thanks Lisa! She is. She's a pretty good dog. Fortunately, the big closet in my office is working as a sleeping kennel for her for now, as Chinook adjusts to having her here. Nootka is already in love.

Koona. I like it. There should be more people like you and evil Kev in the world.
