For those who worry all the stories have been told before...

...Is Star Wars just a rip off of Lord of the Rings?

Fans of either or both might enjoy the link.

There is an interesting article by Michael Valdez Moses regarding this subject on page 48 of the 7/03 issue of Reason Magazine titled Back to the Future. The author compares the basic plot elements and characters of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter.

Oh... my... God...

You know, I write fantasy. The first movie I ever saw was "Star Wars." The "Star Wars" and "Lord of the Rings" films are probably my favorite films of all time. Still, just when I start to worry I'm obsessed with my favorite genre, I see something like that.

Even so, gotta say I never realized Gandalf was so damn fly. Who knew? That old wizard knows how to get down and boogie, baby!

Aftershave. Very relevant. :-)

This video is something else! Funny to see something from Ebaum's World; my husband is a loyal YTMND fan (Ebaum and YTMND are at war) so I've never checked out any of their stuff.

There are only seven stories. Fortunately, there are billions of ways to tell them.

Most stories have already been told.

The writer who can put a different spin on the same old tales...now that's what it's all about. Spot one of those (who also happens to be able to write well), and we're jumping round the office.

The aftershave was dropped here by an unmanned bomber.
