My apologies

Ah, wondrous week that it's been, we're now without internet. Our external dish we get the feed from our provider through has thrown a hissy fit and died. It took 13 hours and diagnostics to determine that, and now we have to wait for someone to come and replace it.

So, if you need me, these days it's antiquated forms of communication, like the phone or tin cans and a string.

I'm stealing my sister's computer, but she lives in a different town than I do, so I won't promise to be able to check my email again until our system at home is back up and running.

Let me tell you - when I do post again, there will be jokes, dammit!

I was just about to give you that written guarantee that the sun would come out tomorrow...uh, er...under the circumstances ...LOL..I think I rescind that offer *sheesh*

There's a song that says, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all..."

*sigh* Maybe I can pray you through it!

Ah well.

I think I'll go with old Ogden Nash:

Malt does more than Milton can
To show the ways of God to man.

......I guess Bonnie should pray for me too. lol.

Funny thing.

I was in Barry's Bay, ON, looking for vampires for the National Enquirer.
Said one resident, 'You are the vampire, you little paparazzo.'

I think they stole my truck, with the dish on it.
LOL

Or maybe it was aliens. Or the government is censoring you. Ha ha. Or maybe it was your neighbors?

Hope you get your internet back soon Sandra, I know what internet withdrawal is like and it's not pretty!

I hope you can get your dish fixed, soon! Wonder what we ever did without the internet!

Of course, it could just be fate/karma/whatever. You did say you were contemplating a break. norby

Bonnie, thanks! Does God do internet service calls? (I'm joking.)

Ivan, not sure I agree... Though any excuse, right?

Forty_Two, you made me laugh! Thanks!

Ivan, people in Ontario are weird. :)

Andrea, the government. That could be. They've been monitoring my internet usage and found out I read Terrenoire's blog.

Elizabeth, thanks. I'd be lost without it. I'm looking forward to travel portals and being beamed to Europe - that'll be fantastic.

Norby, could be. But they came, fixed the dish, and now the router won't work. So I don't have internet in my office. ARG!

What was I saying about life, lemons and good aim?

Gloom, despair and agony on me.
Deep dark depression
Excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck a'tall.

What? My dad watched HeeHaw every single week of my childhood. Hillbilly is in my head, if not in my blood. *gg*

Hope you're back soon, Sandra!
