Rae died yesterday.
He was a doctor, a father, a husband, a grandfather. An educated man I'd known for over twenty years. He was my brother-in-law's stepfather, Grandfather to my niece and nephews.
My thoughts are with Tina, and the entire family during this difficult time.

'08 is turning out to be another (in some cases worse) hard year for a lot of people I know....
The things happening now that are worse than this can't be shared, but it's certainly no competition. A number of people I know seem to be having a tough year, for a variety of reasons. Here's hoping it turns around soon...

So much in a short period of time. Not that there is ever a good time. Thinking of you and the family.
