Mishaps, Mismanagement & Mischief

Mishaps

So much for window shopping at this Calgary store. And to think people still call Calgary Cowtown. Looks like the deer are staking a claim (not to mention the growing bear problem).

Mismanagement

And I don’t know how many times it has to happen, but this highway has been a death trap for years. At what point does the cost of scraping up bodies off the road and doing an accident investigation become greater than fixing the damn roads? I realize some of it is negligence from drivers, but anyone who knows the 169 knows that’s not all it is.

Mischief

From Chelbel, we have a new version of an old song by Phil Collins. It made me smile.

In Australia they do this neat thing where they put up a sign saying that it's an accident blackspot. This way they don't have to actually fix it and they can claim they actually did something. Fabulous.

  4. Amra, they do that here, too. One more sign to distract you from driving, to tell you it's a high accident zone. Swell! (News this morning says 12 people died in vehicle accidents in Ontario this past weekend - not uncommon for long weekends to rack up the accidents.)

Angie, how can you say that about a sweet gorilla?

Chelbel, I just hope that Phil Collins fans aren't declaring war on the gorilla like they once did a certain author...

They can't declare war on the gorilla-it looks too much like Collins.

Which is partly why it scared me! Except the gorilla has just a wee bit more going on in the hair dept., which makes it better looking than Phil, IMO.
