Actually...it's not strictly true. Wal-Mart has many, many books on order than will actually be available in stores because they have access to Ingram's entire catalog. Since SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES is available through Ingram, Wal-Mart will list.
Actually, just because a book is on Ingram it doesn't mean a place will definitely list it, considering people here who told me they dealt with Ingram aren't carrying the book and have told me they won't. You can't go to Chapters/Indigo and order my book but you can order it into WalMart if they aren't stocking it, and that's nice.
sandra, i've never gotten a copy from a publisher for any book i've blurbed. not that i've blurbed that many, but it wasn't anything i thought about so please don't worry! i was in the middle of revisions when the book came and i didn't even see my blurb until yesterday. sheesh!!! i'll blame it on lack of sleep and a UTI, although i don't think there's any way in hell to blame it on a UTI. the acknowledgement page was a project in itself. :)
