Big Deal

The truth is out there, apparently.

And so I feel I should put it here.

Yes, I signed a contract.

Book 1, currently titled Suspicious Circumstances will be out likely this fall. I say likely, but don't get angry, because we have to discuss the date, and there are plenty of variables that can influence that.

But by saying "fall" I've given myself until December 21 to deliver, and you can't whip me with a wet noodle.

I'm sure I'll have more to say on the subject. Truth be told, I'm still wrapping my brain around it all. And if you know about my silly string brain, you know what a sticky prospect it is to get it 'round anything.

I just...guys, it's been highs and lows, you know what I mean? A very emotional death. Winning a contest. Putting my back out. Getting a book deal.

(Our kitten, Skittles)

And of course, after the last experience, I approached this one really cautiously. "Okay, bring out the legal books and send it off to the legal experts."

At the end of the day, what does matter right now is that I signed a deal that I'm really happy about, and it really looks like I'm about to see my dream realized.

Pinch me.

And there'll be more on this in a few days, once I can think properly again.

Assuming that happens.

  6. Snicker. Rachel's a damned nice person, too. It happened to her. I'm going to hang onto all of this and remind myself when I get bummed.

How long ago did Stuart's first come out?

  11. Congratulations! Though I bet I can whip you with wet noodle. I'm not sure I'd want to, but if you're contesting my wet noodle whipping ability then I'll have to prove myself.

And Vincent, you want to admit to having a wet noodle? Well, you know, if weilding a wet noodle makes you proud...

  13. I've said it before in private, but I'll do it again in public - congratulations!

Now comes the countdown to the weirdest, most fun / painful year of your life. You’ll love it.

  14. I plan on a white cover with a chair on it and the title 'Dying Lights' along with a September release to cash in on your tour.

Seriously, thanks again. But not everything private should go public -right?
