America, America

I’ve been trying to remember if I’ve seen such a celebration since the marriage of Charles and Diana, and although I’m sure there may have been a few occasions in between I’m forgetting at the moment, the fact that the inauguration reminds me of the pomp and ceremony I, as a Canadian, tend to associate with the monarchy.

As a Canadian, I’ve had something of a conflicted view of the US. On the one hand, the US is Canada’s only real neighbor, closest ally, and traditionally has been Canada’s biggest trading partner. These two countries have a long, close history, and need each other. Follow the link for the rest.
